Angela’s Piazza is a welcoming, accepting place where
women come to learn to live safer, better lives free from
addictions and violence by discovering self-confidence,
courage and hope through domestic violence programs and
programs that encourage spiritual and emotional healing.
Angela’s Piazza: Women’s Drop-In Center was
founded in 1998 by Sister Mary Dostal and
Sister Pat Funderhide. As members of the
Ursuline Sisters, they have embraced the
philosophy of a piazza as envisioned by Saint
Angela Merici (1470-1540), offering a
welcoming place for women in need of solace
and peace, understanding and compassion,
and warmth and sunshine for the soul.
Angela’s Piazza: Women’s Drop-In Center
offers all of these elements and more. As
advocates for women, we seek to fulfill the
emotional and spiritual needs of those who
are lost or broken.
